One operational desk for the world's critical passages.
CanalPilot is being built for shipowners, operators, charterers and managers who need a clearer way to plan, coordinate and execute canal transits — starting with Panama and extending across major global passages.
Start with IMO + ETA
Give us the minimum. We structure the rest of the request.
No payment at this stage. Final scope depends on route, vessel and local execution requirements.
Start with Panama. Build the global transit desk.
Each passage has different rules, tariffs and operational workflows. CanalPilot presents them through one client-facing workflow while local execution is handled through the appropriate authorized parties.
Panama Canal
Transit assessment, reservation strategy, auction support, PDA coordination, arrival and local services.

Voyage economics, dues, rebate pathways, convoy planning and local agency coordination.

Bosphorus and Dardanelles traffic planning, pilot/tug requirements and local coordination.
Open Straits desk → Network developmentSt. Lawrence / Welland
Seaway toll structure, lock transit planning, compliance and regional agency support.
Open Seaway desk →Everything around the passage — in one workflow.
Transit assessment
Vessel particulars, ETA, dimensions, draft, cargo and route requirements structured before execution.
Booking & slots
Reservation strategy and time-sensitive slot coordination where the relevant authority provides booking mechanisms.
PDA / cost control
Separate authority dues, agency charges and optional services so the operator sees what drives the total.
Husbandry
Crew change, spares, provisions, launches, medical and other local requirements where available.
Urgent operations
Escalation path for schedule-sensitive vessels and commercial decisions where delay costs matter.
Document room
Future client workspace for quotations, PDA/FDA, invoices, instructions and vessel documents.
Transit tracking
Future timeline view for request, confirmation, arrival, transit and completion milestones.
Fleet account
Future fleet dashboard with multiple vessels, repeat particulars and centralized operations history.
Make the transit decision before spending the money.
These tools are deliberately transparent: they are scenario calculators, not official canal quotations.
Wait vs. reserve
Compare the cost of waiting against a reservation/priority cost.
Route economics
Quickly compare time saved versus incremental route/transit cost.
One request. One timeline. One accountable desk.
The operating model is designed to remove fragmented coordination from the vessel operator's day.
Vessel intake
IMO, ETA, direction, draft and commercial priority.
Transit plan
Route-specific requirements, cost structure and execution path.
Local execution
Authorized/local counterpart coordinates authority-facing and port-facing actions.
Close-out
Status, documents, FDA and post-transit record.

Structure the decision around schedule, waiting exposure, booking urgency and total voyage economics. Live authority data will be connected only where an approved data source or partner feed is available.
Transit readiness
Validate the request before it reaches operations.
IMO number validator
Checks the standard IMO checksum locally. It does not identify a vessel or query a registry.
Transit brief completeness
Quick checklist for a commercially usable first assessment.
See the operation, not just the invoice.
Transit briefings & operational media
The production site includes a dedicated video surface. For launch, it links to commercially usable maritime footage; once CanalPilot has its own Panama operations footage, the module can switch to self-hosted MP4/WebM without changing the layout.
Open licensed footage →Not another agency inbox. A structured transit file.
Transit brief
Vessel, route, ETA, direction, draft, urgency and service scope in one standardized request.
Commercial breakdown
Authority charges, reservation exposure, local agency and optional services separated for review.
Execution timeline
Required documents, nomination, arrival milestones, booking decisions and operational status.
Close-out pack
Final disbursement, invoices and operational record prepared for the fleet account.
Straight answers before nomination.
Is CanalPilot a canal authority?
No. CanalPilot is an independent commercial and operational coordination platform. Official rules, tariffs, booking mechanisms and approvals remain with the relevant authority and authorized/local counterparties.
Can you quote from only an IMO number?
An IMO number is a good starting point, but ETA, direction, draft, cargo/vessel status and required service level may be needed before a meaningful operational quote can be issued.
Are the calculators official quotations?
No. They are decision-support scenarios. Official authority dues and final agency/service charges must be confirmed for the actual vessel and transit.
Can one account manage several vessels?
That is part of the planned fleet workspace: saved vessel particulars, active transits, documents, cost history and operational status in one account.
Have a vessel approaching a strategic passage?
Send IMO + ETA + route. Start with the operational assessment.
